Unlock the Block with NFT Use Cases

The Storyline

A new NFT marketplace is launching and you have received a special invitation to be one of the first people to establish your token on this NFT marketplace.

What will you tokenize!?

A broad range of buyers (panel of virtual judges) will be given ten million [pretend] dollars to spend at the NFT marketplace where the NFT you create will be listed. Your goal is to get as much of the ten million [pretend] dollars as you can.

How popular will your NFT be?

Choose any asset or utility that your NFT provides to make it attractive to the buyers and build a value model around it. Then convince buyers to spend their allowance on your token. The team whose NFT sells the most initial value will win the challenge.

It's blockchain education through an innovation challenge

This is a blockchain-learning experience and TrueUp will give you educational content, resources, and games throughout this challenge to learn about elements of blockchain technology and transaction flow. Beginners are welcome.

Each team may have up to 4 student members
Each team may have 1 faculty advisor (optional)

WHO QUALIFIES?

You must be a student registered at an accredited university based in the U.S.
Students must be concentrated in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or Business as a major
Students from any class level are welcome
You must register by February 29, 2024

MAKE IT: DEFINE YOUR NFT

You will learn the fundamentals of NFTs and tokenization through TrueUp games
You will explore today's latest use cases for NFTs provided by TrueUp
You will define your own NFT by considering guided questions, such as what asset or utility is associated with the NFT, intended audience or community, token economics, value growth model and more

MINT IT: ESTABLISH YOUR NFT ON A BLOCKCHAIN

You will learn about the minting process for NFTs
You will learn about blockchain elements that play key roles in token transaction flow
You will mint your NFT on the NFT marketplace used for this challenge

MINT IT

MARKET

MARKET: CONVINCE A PANEL TO BUY YOUR NFT

You will list your token on the NFT marketplace used for this challenge
You will submit a 10-minute video proposal to convince a panel of judges to buy it
Judges will review your NFT video proposal and decide how to spend their dollars
Winners will be decided based on a combination of the judge's scorecard and purchases
